What do you do when life gets “too much?” Do you back out of commitments, spin out into hyper-obsession, check out with tv, food, social media, work, alcohol or all of the above?
Welcome to the overwhelm cycle.
The overwhelm cycle is when you run into something in life that feels like too much – too much to do, to much to process, too much to figure out, too much pressure, too much expectations…
You get that anxious, inadequate, uncomfortable feeling and you start shutting down, numbing out or closing off in order to cope.
The overwhelm cycle has become such a default mode of so many of us that we’ve normalized it. We practically expect it.
But what if your life didn’t involve a recurring cycle of overwhelm?
What if you just felt a sense of ease, comfort and “okness” no matter what is happening?
If considering that seems like a pipe dream or wishful thinking, think again.
Because living free from the overwhelm is possible. And, not only is it possible, but it’s possible for you.
Earlier this week, I connected live in the Congruence Collective Facebook Group sharing 3 tips to shift out of overwhelm and feel calmer and more relaxed right away.
If you missed the live video, you can watch it on Facebook here: Quick Tips To Feel Calmer And More Relaxed Right Now
These tips come straight from my personal tool belt of what has worked for me to get out of overwhelm and feel calmer in the moment.
Share a comment and let me know how they work for you!
In dedication of all of you,
