Does anxiety have a tendency to crop up and derail you? It’s so common amongst high achievers and those on a spiritual path.
It’s as if the more you know about what the “preferred/ideal/right/good” outcome of something should be, the more you will feel anxious when things don’t perceptively go that way.
Take eating for example.
You may think you know what you’re supposed to eat and how to get your food under control.
But when you watch yourself not doing the thing you think you’re supposed to do, it can create anxiety.
All of a sudden everything feels out of control. You’re out of control. Nothing makes sense. You don’t trust yourself. You don’t know what’s right anymore. You just feel wrong, bad and guilty…
This is where the mind can start future-tripping on all the possible negative scenarios that can happen as you fall deeper and deeper into panic.
The problem with trying to get a handle on anxiety in the moment is that the more you try to keep it together, the more anxious you’ll get.
So what do you do?
Whether you struggle with the occasional panic attack or you have low grade anxiety every day, there are effective ways to calm anxiety in the moment.
I want you to have these simple tools at your fingertips so anxiety can stop derailing you from enjoying your amazing life.
