When Jackie walked into my “How To Have A Healthy Relationship With Food” workshop last year she was exhausted.
She was sick and tired of the constant food obsession and frustrated that in spite of everything she knew and all the work she’d done on herself that she still couldn’t break the binge cycle.
Food was Jackie’s biggest enemy because when she started, she didn’t want to stop.
But it was also her closest friend.
Food comforted her when she felt alone
and soothed her when she was anxious.
Jackie longed to be free from the food – to stop thinking about it all the time – so she could spend that time and energy getting clear on her purpose and helping more people.
She wanted to feel comfortable in her own skin and do activities like canoeing and go to the beach without feeling self conscious.
She wanted to travel, connect genuinely with like-minded people who she could confide in and have more fun.
But first, Jackie felt like she needed to get in integrity with how she was living and eating.
She wanted to have a healthy relationship with food so she could stop pretending to have it together and authentically trust herself to make healthy choices.
Jackie resisted asking for help because she was so used to doing everything alone. But when she and I spoke after the talk, and she could hear that I had been right where she was and had gotten free, she got hope for the first time that maybe she could get free too.
Jackie choose to dive into working with me intensively and in a few short months her food addiction went away.
“I feel like a huge weight had been lifted.”
Jackie had stopped bingeing. She wasn’t controlling food or trying to “be good.” Food had just become something that she enjoyed but didn’t worry about.
With all the time and energy she now had, Jackie started making new friends who she could connect with deeply, got certified as a freedom from food addiction coach and began helping others get free from their food struggles.
She also got free from her body obsession and got into yoga and eating healthily, which just made her feel even more confident.
It warmed my heart to see Jackie living such a fulfilling life free from food. But the best part was when she announced to me a few weeks ago, “I’m going to Italy!”
Jackie had always wanted to travel to Europe but traveling was one of those activities that she felt like she couldn’t do until she was skinny enough, rich enough or in a romantic relationship.
By getting free from her food addiction, Jackie stopped waiting for the “right” time and stopped holding back in her life. She booked her flight to Italy and is currently spending 2 leisurely weeks going on adventures and having fun.
I share this with you because Jackie was no different from you. She was sick and tired of the same story with food – frustrated and exhausted by the constant obsession, stricken with self doubt and feeling alone.
Here’s what she did that set her on the path for freedom:
She got HONEST that her way wasn’t working
She got HOPE that she could get free
She got HUMBLE and asked for help
This is what took Jackie from feeling lonely to fully living. And this can happen for you too.
You don’t have to just deal with always having this food obsession – always fearing that you’ll go back to those destructive behaviors.
There is a way for you to actually have lasting freedom. Where you eat to live instead of live to eat. Where food becomes something that nourishes you but doesn’t rule your social life.
These things are possible for you. And I’d love to show you how.
So if you’re sick and tired of the same old story playing out for you, and you’re done with trying to figure it out on your own, then follow the link below, and I’d love to help you get on your path of freedom.
