Recovery doesn’t have to be hard. And freedom doesn’t mean that you are sentenced to a life of obsessing about every mistake and self-correcting until one day you’re healed “enough” to finally feel ok as you are, enjoy your life and help others.
In fact, one of the biggest delusions I see so many women with addiction and walk around with is thinking that they’re destined to a life of struggle unless they can figure out what’s wrong with them and fix it.
I relate because used to have the exact same mindset. Even after I got free from bingeing, restricting, drugs, diet pills, sleeping pills and love addiction, I was still addicted to fixing myself.
But that’s not freedom.
That’s just a different kind of obsession – an obsession that hides behind the illusion of being committed to a path of healing.
Freedom is the ability to be with what is, love where you are and have the courage and self esteem to be honest with yourself and others.
It’s easy to get discouraged and lose hope on this journey of addiction which is why I recorded this 6 min video for you. You can watch the video here:
There is hope. You can get free from your addiction and be more present, feel more confident and trust yourself to make healthy choices.
And true freedom doesn’t require your external circumstances to look a certain way for you to feel free on the inside.
True freedom is actually realizing that you’re not here to fix or manage your life.
You are here to live in your joy. That’s it. That’s your North Star.
That doesn’t mean that you won’t have bad days or that everything will be rainbows and butterflies.
What it means is that you are no longer addicted to fixing or perfecting yourself. That you can embrace the fullness of who you are and where you are and that you trust your inner compass to guide you.
And that’s what I’m committed to supporting you in experiencing. Because that’s where the fun really starts.
So please watch this video below and know that it is possible for you to live with deep fulfillment, freedom and fun in your life. All you need is the willingness to get honest, the openness to try something new and the courage to baby step outside your comfort zone.
